Support for House of Grace

The Trustees agreed at their February meeting to support the Rotary Club of Johnsonville’s project to upgrade the heating facilities at the House of Grace home in Newlands. The Trustees have agreed to fund a new gas central heating system at a cost of $15743 excl GST. The Rotary Club had employed qualified engineers to scope the project and had also invested considerable funds in improving the heating of the building. The funding allocated by JCT should prove to be a boon for staff, new mothers and their babies especially during the damp cold winters.

Newlands Intermediate Artificial Turf Sports Ground

At a recent meeting of the Johnsonville Charitable Trust, Trustees pledged support of $50,000 for the above project conditional upon the school and its partners finding the balance of funds required to complete the project within the next 12 months.

Should the project not be funded within the coming year the offer will lapse and Newlands Intermediate would be welcome to submit a new request which would be considered along with any other funding requests pending at that time.”
